The main purpose of IP Music School is to give students as well as adults the opportunity to take individual music lessons after school on the school's premises, by qualified music teachers.

It is open for the whole community-not only IPS students.

Benefits of playing a musical instrument

By learning to play an instrument, students’ musicianship, hand-eye coordination, memory-, mathematical- and reading skills, self-esteem, dedication, responsibility and perseverance are being developed and they have the opportunity to experience a sense of achievement/success from a very young age.

‘’Music enhances the education of our children by helping them to make connections and broadening the depth with which they think and feel. If we are to hope for a society of culturally literate people, music must be a vital part of our children's education.’’ - Yo-Yo Ma, famous cellist

Lessons conducted in English will make it possible for students to play International music exams (ABRSM or Trinity) when they are ready.
